Job Description

Position Department: Athletics Game Day Staff



Position Type: Staff Part-Time



Overview:

The RMU Ice Crew is a team of experienced skaters which performs a variety of functions at NCAA women's and men's hockey home and select hosted games. The Crew also provides spirit and enthusiasm which enhances the fan game day experience.



Responsibilities:



  • Provide operational support to the RMU Island Sports Center or applicable game day staff.

  • Gather warm up pucks during pregame in order to ensure efficient flow leading into ice preparation.

  • Move, manage and affix goals during pregame and intermission ice cuts.

  • Scrape, shovel and clean ice during media timeouts in-game for the purpose of providing a smooth, snow-free sheet mainly along dasherboards and in goal creases for competing players and officials.

  • Lend spirit and enthusiasm to gameday fan experience.





Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma preferred.

  • Advanced level of skating ability and multi-tasking while on skates a must.

  • Ice Skating
