About the job

The Google Cloud Platform is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, and the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is a cornerstone of its success. The rise of AI agents introduces new paradigms and tests to traditional IAM. AI agents operate accessing various resources and tools, shifting the focus from who has access to what can this agent do and what is it doing?. The potential impact and blast radius of agents can be obscured across multiple systems and policies, making risk assessment difficult. Furthermore, the proliferation of non-human identities and the velocity of agent actions amplify potential risks, while static policies struggle to govern dynamic agent behaviors.

In this role, you will set the technical goal for IAM as we develop security controls for agents. You will oversee the multiple types of access management policies and extend their functionality to build guardrails for first-party/second-party/third-party AI agents. You will ramp up the IAM code base working closely with a team in Seattle, build features and products that will delight our external customers as well as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will write code while demonstrating thought leadership around building access management policy features.
