Job Description of Academic Coach 

• Assists teachers and school counselor in the education of students; providing emotional support as needed.    
• Assists teachers and school counselor with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Organizes a check-in/check-out system with students who need emotional support under the supervision of the school counselor.
• Provides small group friendship lessons that reinforce what is being taught in weekly guidance counseling classes.
• Tutors students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up learning activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
• Supervises students under teacher and school counselor direction.
• Assists with building duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Manages the winter clothing and supplies needed for at-risk students.

$16.15 per hour
