The position is available only to full-time students taking in-person business classes on the Pace Pleasantville campus.
Pace Mart Associates manage and operate the Pace Mart convenience store in Mortola Library on the Pace Pleasantville campus. Some associates are promoted to manager positions in this student-run business.
Position Duties
- All associates must be able to open the store, operate the cash register and manage the store alone.
- Duties include serving customers, running the register and credit card machine, making coffee, stocking the store, merchandising, cleaning the store, and other duties as needed.
- Managers perform various managerial functions including accounting, marketing, HR, purchasing, and general management.
Requirements
Applicants must be taking classes on site on the Pleasantville campus of Pace and have a declared major or minor in a business discipline.

- Ability to work independently and solve any issues that may arise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner

Summary
The position is available only to full-time students taking in-person business classes on the Pace Pleasantville campus.
Pace Mart is open from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm most days. The store closes earlier on Fridays and opens later on Sundays and Saturdays. During midterms and finals, the store stays open until midnight.
Most associates work two to four 2-3 hour shifts per week. Exact schedule to be determined with supervisor; no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session and no more than 35 hours per week during breaks.
