The Foran Child Learning Center (CLC) is seeking a qualified PreKindergarten Child Care Assistant for our high school-based PreKindergarten classroom serving children ages 3 to 4 years. With support from the CLC director, the child care assistant teacher will work collaboratively with early childhood and high school professionals as well as high school students to provide a supportive, safe, and nurturing learning environment for prekindergarten students. The child care assistant teacher will build positive relationships with pre-kindergarten children, school staff, high school students and families while fostering social-emotional, physical and cognitive development through an intentional-play based curriculum which is aligned with CT Early Learning and Development Standards.

Requirements

- Previous Early Childhood Education teaching experience required

- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education

- Candidates must be trained in Child First Aid and CPR trained

This position is 8 hours per day 7:30 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. (26 hours per week).

The salary is $21.00 per hour with Medical Benefits offered. The position also comes with 

10 sick days and 3 personal days.
