Summary

As a Permitting Coordinator you will collaborate with PCO colleagues and Senior Project Managers to acquire permits from different municipalities. These permits will primarily cover underground utility, and overhead aerial installations. This position will track the permitting process to ensure timely delivery to meet project requirements and client expectations.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a temporary role that is expected to work 40-hours per week, although hours could fluctuate some weeks.


Duties

  • Completes and verifies permit applications confirming accuracy with the appropriate parties.
  • Tracks permit progress, maintains accurate data in tracker, and provides timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Monitors permit status changes and delays, proactively communicating issues and updating records accordingly.
  • Requests extensions as needed, distributes approvals to project managers, and updates relevant tracking information.
  • Provides administrative support to internal departments including managing email correspondence related to permit status, fees, and approval stages.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Any combination of education and experience to be considered.


Experience Required

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in an office environment. College experience can be considered


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
