Job Description

This is an IN-DISTRICT ONLY posting, meaning only current district employees (regular and temporary) will be considered.  The 2026 HRVHS Credit Recovery Summer School program will include 15 student contact days and time for staff training/professional development and is tentatively anticipated to run July 6 through July 24, 2026.

Application Process - Current District Regular or Temporary Employees:


Log into TalentEd/Applicant Tracking as an internal applicant.  Submit your letter of interest addressed to Amy McConnell, Director of Teaching and Learning, outlining your qualifications for this position.  Include three (3) recent professional references.


 


Overview:


Leads the program management, coordination, and monitoring of instructional services for HRVHS summer school, budgeting, transportation and communication to students and families.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assists HRVHS with the hiring process of teachers and assistants for summer school program.

  • Coordinates services such as busing, food and community partner program.

  • Prepares and coordinates scheduling.

  • Manages discipline program effectively and fairly.

  • Provides general direction to summer school staff.

  • Assists HRVHS with summer school staff evaluation.

  • Ensures student attendance, progress monitoring, and other reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



  • Strong English/Spanish oral and written skills - bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.

  • Effective skill in working with diverse cultures and English Language Learners.

  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrate the ability and commitment to effectively complete a multitude of tasks within a closely defined time frame.  

  • Strong positive team attitude, exhibiting high ethical standards and integrity.

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.

  • A clear understanding of the importance of and willingness to follow district standard operating guidelines for recruitment, selection, onboarding, employee assignment and compensation.


Minimum Requirements for the 2026 HRVHS Credit Recovery Summer School Director:




  • Possess a valid Oregon Teaching License and a TSPC Administrator or Principal License or apply for a TSPC License for Conditional Assignment for a Principal License by the time the assignment begins.



  • Experience and knowledge working with diverse cultures and English Language Learners.

  • Preference will be given for employees with prior administrative or quasi-administrative experience with supervising and evaluating staff as well as enrollment/completion of an Administrative Licensure Program.  


Compensation will be based on the 2025/26 Administrative salary schedule for Elementary Principals at step 1 and will be paid in a lump sum at the completion of the summer school program.
