This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving workplace challenges, and serving as a trusted resource for employees and leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build strong working relationships with employees and leadership at assigned locations to provide proactive HR guidance and support.

• Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned locations, providing guidance to employees and leadership on HR policies, employee relations matters, and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies and procedures.

• Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including pre-employment requirements.

• Conduct onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure a positive and compliant new hire experience.

• Administer HR programs including benefits, leave management, and company policies.

• Partner with site leadership to address workforce issues and support effective employee management.

• Exercise independent judgement when handling employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance concerns.

• Coordinate and manage workers’ compensation claims, including communication with employees, leadership, and insurance partners and return-to-work coordination.

• Manage offboarding processes including exit interviews and documentation.

• Lead or support HR initiatives and special projects that support organizational goals and continuous improvement.

• Operate as the on-site HR resource while maintaining close collaboration with the broader HR team.

• Travel to supported locations as needed.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

7+ years of progressive HR experience required, including employee relations and independent HR decision-making. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Preferred Certifications: PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of HR principles including recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and compliance.

• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

• Experience supporting a multi-functional workforce including manufacturing, field, and professional employees.

• Ability to work independently and serve as the primary HR resource for assigned locations.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leadership.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion.

• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Emotional intelligence and sound judgment when navigating complex workplace situations.

• Proactive, self-motivated professional who can operate effectively with limited supervision.
