Substitute Fabrication and Fitting Instructor
Location: Lehi, UT
Status: Part-Time, as needed
Hours: (Days) Monday - Friday, (Times) 7:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
Pay/Salary: $26.49/hour
Summary
As a Substitute Fabrication and Fitting Instructor, you will provide instruction to students on the practices of metal fabrication when the instructor is absent. Your focus will be on helping students develop the skills they need to be job-ready. SMAW or FCAW welding certifications or equivalent industry experience required. What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Substitute Fabrication and Fitting Instructor include, but are not limited to:
- Take necessary precautions to ensure an effective and safe level of direct supervision of students in the labs and classrooms.
- Effectively instruct students in metal fabrication.
- Ensure students achieve educational objectives and are evaluated appropriately according to knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Assess student progress toward meeting graduation requirements.
- Model and teach good work habits and professional conduct.
- Assist students in the use, care, and safety of program equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Education Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in fitting practice.
- Certifications: Must possess welding certifications or equivalent industry experience for SMAW and FCAW processes.
- Knowledge: Must have a strong background in fitting, fabrication, and welding techniques, in addition to a passion for teaching and mentoring.
