What We're Looking For: Barge Design Solutions is seeking a part-time Office Responsibilities:
Administrator to be the heartbeat of our Birmingham office. This isn't just an
administrative role — it's the face and energy of our team. We're a close-knit
group that works hard and genuinely enjoys being together, and we're looking
for someone who's excited to be part of that culture and help it thrive.
front desk management by greeting guests and visitors warmly, creating a
welcoming first impression, and directing inquiries to appropriate staff.
routine office email communications, sorts and distributes traditional
mail, and facilitates distribution of packages and company documents
through Barge's third-party system in a timely and reliable manner.
the local contact for inbound calls — answering, providing general
information, and directing calls to the right people.
printers, conference rooms, and office supplies are well-stocked and
organized.
a clean, inviting office environment across print and supply rooms,
storage, meeting areas, conference rooms, coffee bars, and the cafeteria.
in planning and executing office events and special projects, including
logistics, A/V setup, and vendor coordination — bringing energy and
creativity to making these moments memorable for the team.
event plans clearly to the appropriate audience.
with vendors for deliveries and material storage.
accounts payable invoices to Accounting.
additional administrative support for special projects as needed.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
years of relevant office administration experience.
in Microsoft Office Suite.
with strong follow-through.
connector by nature — someone who enjoys building relationships, creating
a positive atmosphere, and making the office a place people love to be.
