Role Overview

The 1st Shift Operator/Quality Technician supports daily production and quality activities to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent operations. This role is responsible for handling materials, executing blending processes, and performing product testing to maintain quality standards. The position plays a critical role in minimizing production disruptions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall plant performance. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong coordination, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute material handling and blending activities to support continuous production flow

  • Monitor and record production data, including material usage, lot tracking, and process issues

  • Perform product testing and validate labeling, documentation, and sample accuracy

  • Operate equipment and maintain clean, organized work areas across production and warehouse spaces

  • Support cross-functional operations including packaging, shipping, and general plant upkeep

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with strong math skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a laboratory or production environment

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal technical or vocational training

  • Experience with quality testing processes or laboratory equipment

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Familiarity with safety standards and operational best practices
