POSITION SUMMARY
The Campground Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and supervision of campground facilities and staff. This position ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors while enforcing campground rules, coordinating maintenance activities, and providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise day‑to‑day campground operations, including site assignments, reservations, and visitor services
- Direct, train, schedule, and evaluate campground staff and seasonal employees
- Ensure campground facilities, restrooms, picnic areas, and common spaces are clean, safe, and well maintained
- Conduct regular inspections of grounds, buildings, utilities, and equipment
- Enforce campground rules, policies, and local/state regulations in a courteous and consistent manner
- Address visitor requests, complaints, and emergencies promptly and professionally
- Coordinate maintenance and repair work with internal staff or external contractors
- Monitor inventory and order supplies, tools, and equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate records including incident reports, maintenance logs, and staff schedules
- Assist with campground opening, closing, and seasonal transition activities
- Promote positive visitor experiences and campground programs, where applicable
- Direct supervision of campground attendants, maintenance staff, volunteers, or seasonal employees
- Responsible for staff training, work assignments, safety compliance, and performance feedback
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in campground operations, parks, hospitality, facilities maintenance, or outdoor recreation preferred
- Supervisory or lead work experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of campground operations, safety practices, and basic facility maintenance
- Strong customer service and conflict‑resolution skills
- Ability to supervise staff and work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures
- Basic computer skills for scheduling, reporting, and communication
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to walk uneven terrain and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment
Work Environment and Schedule
- Work is primarily outdoors in a campground or park setting
- May include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call responsibilities
- Seasonal or year‑round schedule depending on operational needs
Licensing or Certifications
- Valid driver’s license
