We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Laborer with a valid Forklift Certification to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and demonstrated expertise in operating forklifts. If you are skilled in managing construction tasks, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment, we would like to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Assist with various tasks on construction sites including, but not limited to, site preparation, material handling, and general labor duties.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently to move materials and equipment around the job site.
  • Load and unload construction materials and supplies, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Support tradespeople and other construction workers by providing necessary tools, materials, and assistance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and improve overall efficiency.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Assist with the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding, temporary structures, and other construction setups.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues that arise.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Forklift Certification with proven experience operating forklifts and other construction machinery.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with additional construction equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, or loaders.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
