Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary: The Springs Red Oak is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our skilled nursing facility in delivering high-quality care to our residents. The ADON will assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the overall quality of care. The ideal candidate will be a skilled leader with a strong clinical background and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in managing and supervising the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate and oversee daily nursing operations to ensure effective and efficient delivery of care.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans and protocols.
- Monitor and assess the quality of care provided to residents, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a holistic approach to resident care.
- Assist in managing and maintaining nursing supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Provide support and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required, providing support and leadership during off-hours.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with valid state licensure required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement processes.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound clinical decisions.
- Proficient in using PCC and other healthcare software.
