Job Description

Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Corporate Payroll Analyst to join our Corporate team. This position will work out of our Fort Recovery, Ohio location.

 

The primary goal of this position oversee and ensure accurate, compliant payroll tax calculations, filings and remittances across federal, state and local jurisdictions. Design, implement, and maintain payroll tax audit controls and payroll-related process documentation to ensure compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

 

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday (1st shift)

STARTING RATE: Commensurate with experience

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

 

Job Functions:

  • Ensure accurate and compliant payroll tax calculations, filings, and remittances across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
  • Monitor changes in payroll-related laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring ongoing compliance with all applicable requirements.
    Investigate, resolve, and follow up on payroll tax discrepancies, issues, and inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and support payroll systems, processes, and data integrity, including timekeeping and payroll reporting.
  • Participate in payroll system testing, audits, and upgrades, effectively communicating payroll needs to system administrators and partners.
  • Analyze payroll audit results and reports, identify control gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare and organize payroll and tax-related reports as needed for compliance, audits, and internal review.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Accounting, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, accurate payroll operations and well-documented procedures.
