The Residential Assistant (RA) will work collaboratively with 4D Recovery staff and community partners to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for the residents. This position is part-time, and serves the housing residents in the living environment, including living on-site to conduct regular check-ins, participation in coordinated care, and overnight on-call shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Services (80%)
Maintains a healthy, alcohol/drug-free environment in the residence.
Establishes a positive relationship with residents, fostering mutual trust and respect.
Identify and resolve interpersonal or logistic problems through effective communication and creative solutions.
Conduct intakes and daily check-ins with all residents as scheduled.
Administers random, observed, and gender-specific UA’s as needed or as directed.
Report notable behavior and events to residents’ care team (including mentor and/or counselor) and a supervisor.
Conduct house meetings as scheduled to build community and facilitate communal problem-solving.
Facilitate maintenance of property and grounds, including - but not limited to - posting household chore rotations and contacting Operations for repairs.
Maintain a housing supply list.
Document and report resident house rule violations.
Assist with room clean-outs for tenant transitions.
Uphold organization policies and procedures, confidentiality laws, professional boundaries, and relevant federal/state housing regulations and standards.
Support (20%)
- Work collaboratively with 4D Recovery staff and community partners to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for the residence.
Support the Housing Manager and Finance team as needed with administrative tasks.
Live on-site at the assigned housing facility.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend supervision, team, and agency meetings as directed.
Assist with other recovery support services as directed.
This position may require handling and disposal of needles as part of clean-up duties, necessitating adherence to proper safety protocols to mitigate potential risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
This position typically requires a High School Diploma/GED.
Must have reliable transportation or maintain a valid driver’s license for state of residency and have a driving record permitting coverage under the corporate liability policy. If driving a personal vehicle for work purposes must also have and maintain personal auto liability coverage. All employees driving for work purposes, regardless of whether driving a personal or agency vehicle, must complete the agency’s driving approval process before they drive for work.
Lived experience related to the population being served. Minimum 1 year of abstinence from alcohol and non-prescribed substances required.
Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Able to establish and maintain professional boundaries while providing supportive services and building trusting relationships with community partners, program participants, and staff.
Excellent communication, trauma-informed approach and conflict resolution skills.
Well-developed documentation skills, attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality management; ability to write accurate and concise reports while meeting tight deadlines.
Functional ability with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, GMail, JotForm, and Microsoft Suites.
Must be dependable, flexible and punctual, and exhibit strong time management skills.
Able to clearly articulate information to people of varying cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds.
Able to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively both orally and in writing.
Able to problem solve and develop creative approaches.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CRM.
At least two years in recovery from alcohol and non-prescribed substances.
Experience working in behavioral health treatment or recovery support services.

ATTENDANCE

JOB DETAILS
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, part-time
Schedule: Flexible; available for on-call shifts 3-4 nights per week, 10pm-8am (not required to be on premises), day hours as needed to meet residential needs. Maximum 29 work hours per week.
