We're seeking a detail-oriented and organized Nurse Scheduler to join our team. The Nurse Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating nursing schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of our healthcare facility. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and posts work schedules in a timely manner or accordance with company policy to ensure appropriate staffing needs and requirements are met. 
  • Builds relationships and trust to be able to make necessary contacts with care team members for open shifts and modifies schedule when required. 
  • Maintains a current listing of care team member contact numbers for call-in 
  • Coordinates and obtains approval for any time off requests with the Director of Nursing  
  • Notifies the Executive Director and Director of Nursing of any potential short or critical staffing levels. 
  • Manages attendance records, perfect attendance or other attendance related special pay programs the company may provide; and reports any necessary information to HR/Payroll to ensure time records are accurately captured. 

Qualifications 

  • Certified in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Qualified Medication Assistant, required. If a care team member holds a Certified Nursing Assistant certification and/or Qualified Medication Assistant certification, the Nursing Scheduler may be required to function as one during critical staffing needs. They will be required to meet all the requirements and essential job functions as that outlined job description. 
  • At least 6 months experience scheduling Certified Nursing Assistants, Qualified Medication Assistants, and/or Nurses.
  • A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalent diploma is preferred.
