Position Summary:        EHS Technician I is responsible for supporting the organization’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs by helping ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards. This role requires a strong floor presence and the ability to proactively identify hazards, drive corrective actions, and support the development of a proactive safety culture across the facility.

 

Position Duties:             - Conduct safety and environmental audits, identify                                                hazards, ensure compliance, and drive corrective and                                          preventive actions.

                                    - Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to                                           identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and                                               address safety violations.

- Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging                  employees, coaching safe behaviors, and escalating            concerns when necessary.

    - Assist with incident investigations including information      gathering, documentation, root cause analysis, and              corrective action implementation.

    - Oversee hazardous waste storage compliance                  including labeling, inspections, documentation, and              regulatory shipments.

    - Support environmental compliance initiatives and                 maintain programs related to ISO 14001 environmental           management systems.

    - Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready                       documentation for safety, environmental, and regulatory         requirements.

               - Conduct safety training and collaborate with                                    supervisors, managers, and employees to improve                          environmental, health, and safety performance.

               - Support continuous improvement initiatives related to                    environmental, health, and safety programs. Conduct                      and support multiple safety-related trainings for                            employees, reinforcing policies, procedures, and safe                      work practices.

                - Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers, and                    employees to improve safety performance and                                environmental compliance across the facility.

               -Support continuous improvement initiatives related to                     environmental, health, and safety programs.

 

 

 

Position Requirements:           

                                     Candidates must have a high school diploma or                                                     equivalent; additional education or coursework in                                                   environmental health and safety, occupational safety, or                                       a related field is preferred. The role requires the ability                                         to walk and remain on feet for extended periods and                                             move throughout production and operational areas to                                           conduct audits, inspections, and safety observations. A                                         willingness to attend training and obtain and maintain                                           safety-related certifications and licenses is required.                                             Current certifications such as OSHA 30 – General                                                  Industry, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, ISO 14001                                                Internal Auditor, and HAZWOPER are considered a                                              plus, along with any additional certifications required for                                        the position.
