We are seeking a passionate and engaging Social Studies teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore history, government, economics, and global cultures while developing critical thinking, civic awareness, and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies instruction aligned with state standards for grades 9–12.
Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, discussion, and respectful debate.
Use a variety of instructional strategies and technology to support diverse learners.
Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and curriculum development.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, History, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid teaching certification/licensure for secondary Social Studies (or ability to obtain).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to creating an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience teaching multiple Social Studies disciplines (e.g., U.S. History, Government, World History).
Ability to integrate current events and project-based learning into instruction.
