Job Description

AZ Gastro Care, a preferred part of Gastro Care Partners serves residents and visitors of Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Tempe, and other communities by providing person-centric gastrointestinal care. Patients notice that one of the things that sets us apart is the importance each staff member plays in their care. There’s a reason that many members of our team have remained with us for so many years – they are dedicated to these patients and do whatever they can to provide a healing and stress-free environment.

Our Advance Practice Providers have a great work life balance and a Monday - Friday schedule with traditional shifts.

  • Predictable Schedule: The Monday through Friday schedule provides a consistent routine, allowing the APP to plan personal and professional activities more easily.

  • Weekends Off: Having weekends off allows for time to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with family and friends.

  • Reduced Burnout: A predictable schedule and regular hours can contribute to lower levels of burnout compared to shift work or irregular schedules.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider Hospitalist works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, our health care team. The APP examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with the treating physician. They ensure proper illness and injury care, assist in disease prevention management, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery while seeing in-patient needs in the hospital.  The APP will also be involved in follow up out-patient visits.  The APP will be responsible for supporting the day and evening call schedule when necessitated by physician schedule/hospital needs.  They have an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, a strong foundation in evidenced based practice/education and provide an environment of safe, quality care for our patients, based on sound clinical judgement, professional communication skills, and timely and appropriate, compliant documentation.
