What We’re Looking For:
· Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent (required).
· Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography or registry-eligible (required).
· Current Louisiana State Radiographer license (required).
· Preferred: 1–2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
· Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
· Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques, radiation safety, and quality standards.
· Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients.
· Knowledge of HIPAA, safety, and infection-control practices.

What You Will Do:
You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and maintaining high standards for image quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
· Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols.
· Position and instruct patients to obtain optimal images while ensuring safety and comfort.
· Operate mammography and radiographic equipment accurately and safely.
· Produce high-quality images and evaluate technical quality prior to submission.
· Corroborate clinical history with ordered procedures to ensure proper exams.
· Explain procedures to patients and reduce anxiety through clear communication.
· Apply radiation safety principles to minimize risk to patients and staff.
· Perform daily quality control testing and maintain required documentation.
· Maintain compliance with MQSA, ACR, FDA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies.
· Prepare and distribute mammography result letters per protocol.
· Follow up with patients requiring additional views or ultrasound.
· Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and imaging staff.
· Supervise and train radiologic technology students as appropriate.
· Maintain licensure, certifications, and CPR/BLS requirements.
· Participate in department meetings, performance improvement initiatives, and required education.
· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
