Maintenance Director Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility
- Ensure all systems—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety—are in proper working condition
- Supervise and schedule maintenance team members
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOH and OSHA standards
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs as required
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee repair projects
Maintenance Director Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Director or Supervisor role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of building systems, safety protocols, and preventive maintenance
- Ability to manage staff and delegate tasks effectively
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications are a plus
