Job Description

Overview 

Sedaro is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to architect our workflow orchestration system. Proliferating satellite constellations require optimization studies involving unprecedented scale and complexity. You will build the execution engine that enables aerospace teams to run massive simulation campaigns—exploring vast design spaces with the flexibility to handle evolving mission requirements. 

  • Team: Platform Services, reporting to the team lead 
  • Location: In person in Arlington, VA 
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident status required

What You’ll Do 

  • Architect Lean solutions with impactful incremental deliverables 
  • Optimize multi-cloud systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency 
  • Design and implement system observability with actionable alerting and measurable SLOs 
  • Drive operational excellence through infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability practices 
  • Lead root cause analysis and blameless post-mortem discussions 
  • Foster a culture of learning, empowerment, and achievement

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience 
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering 
  • Experience with containerization, container orchestration, and event streams 
  • Experience with relational and key-value databases 
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs 
  • Experience driving performance through observability and/or root cause analysis 
  • Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language
