Job Description

Community-Minded Enterprises (CME) is seeking a Community Play & Learn Coordinator to support and expand Family, Friend & Neighbor (FFN) Play & Learn groups across our communities. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development, community engagement, and creating equitable access to resources for families.


In this role, you will partner closely with the Associate Director and Family Services team to facilitate Play & Learn groups, build community partnerships, and connect caregivers to critical early learning supports and services. You will also play a key role in supporting our Recovering Families Play & Learn groups.


What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate Family, Friend & Neighbor (FFN) Play & Learn groups using the Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Model and related frameworks
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners to expand Play & Learn opportunities
  • Guide partners through the design and implementation of new Play & Learn groups
  • Transport, manage, and maintain Play & Learn materials and supplies across multiple locations
  • Coordinate inventory, organization, and ongoing upkeep of program materials
  • Support communication and outreach efforts to increase community awareness and participation
  • Maintain accurate data, records, and reporting related to program activities and outcomes
  • Share resources, services, and opportunities with families, caregivers, and community partners
  • Support and co-facilitate Recovering Families Play & Learn groups, including required reporting
  • Collaborate with FFN coordinators and Early Learning team members to improve program quality and consistency
  • Participate in team meetings, statewide initiatives, and special projects
  • Support education and learning opportunities for parents, caregivers, and early learning professionals
  • Continue building knowledge in early childhood development, the FFN model, and community-based supports
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends, including Saturday mornings during the summer months



What You Bring

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with families, caregivers, or community-based programs

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
  • Ability to pass Washington State and federal background checks

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and community partners
  • Comfortable facilitating group activities and engaging diverse audiences
  • Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and navigate changing environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to write clearly, manage basic data, and perform basic math functions
