About the Team
The role will be part of the Systems Engineering & Solution Sales team at Nutanix, located in Atlanta, GA. This team is composed of over 800 customer-focused technical sales professionals dedicated to identifying and matching technology opportunities with customer business challenges and objectives. The mission of the team is to transform how companies operate by leveraging Nutanix solutions, ensuring that customers can achieve their business goals effectively and efficiently.
You will report to the Senior Director, Systems Engineering, who leads with a collaborative and empowering leadership style, encouraging team members to take ownership of their projects while providing the support needed to succeed. The work setup for this position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home, with some in-office collaboration as necessary. While this role primarily allows for remote work, you may be expected to come into the office for important team meetings or training sessions as needed.
The position requires up to 30% travel, enabling you to engage with customers and prospects directly. This travel may involve attending meetings, conducting product demonstrations, and participating in industry events, providing opportunities for you to strengthen relationships and establish Nutanix's presence in the marketplace.
Your Role
- Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team, demonstrating Nutanix solutions to clients.
- Collaborate with sales counterparts to develop comprehensive account plans and customer engagement strategies.
- Manage complex customer accounts and participate in larger sales transactions, ensuring effective communication and resolution of customer concerns.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and understanding their business challenges.
- Conduct product demonstrations and guide prospects through technical evaluations (POCs) to facilitate the sales process.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback to improve Nutanix products and services.
- Mentor new hires and peer colleagues, providing support and guidance in technical areas.
- Achieve performance goals related to sales targets and customer engagement within the first year.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience; 3+ years as a Presales Engineer.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on technical aptitude with adaptability to market demands.
- Strong analytical skills for solving complex problems and proposing solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
- Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Presales experience in data center and cloud technologies, particularly Nutanix products.
- Subject matter expertise in relevant technology disciplines to gain credibility.
Work Arrangement
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 196,000 and USD $ 294,000 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
