Job Description

POSITION: Transportation Dispatcher



EXEMPT STATUS: Non-Exempt



NUMBER OF DAYS:  According to district approved calendar



DEPARTMENT: Transportation



REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation



SUPERVISES:  None


 


EDUCATION:



  •  High School Diploma


EXPERIENCE:    



  • Accounting Experience




























Position Function/Purpose


 Assumes dispatch responsibility in dispatcher’s absence coordination of transportation functions including communications with school personnel, students, parents, and vendors.  (Maintains department purchasing reconciliation).



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


         1.   Reconciliation of purchase orders


         2.   Maintain telephone communications


         3.   Assist with dispatching duties


         4.   Assist with bus route information


         5.   Perform normal clerical duties


         6.   Process and maintain work orders


         7.   Maintain all insurance documents and communicate with the district insurance agents.


         8.   Assists with accident protocol.


         9.   Bookkeeping for activity funds and the vendors.


        10.  Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Director.
