Junior Front-End Developer (React) – Systematic Commodities Hedge Fund

Moreton Capital Partners is seeking a Junior Front-End Developer to help build the internal analytics platform that powers our traders and quantitative researchers.

We are launching live trading across global commodity futures with an investment process driven by machine learning, systematic research, and institutional-grade infrastructure. Our internal platform is mission-critical: it is how signals are monitored, portfolios are analyzed, risk is controlled, and decisions are made in real time.

This is a rare opportunity for an early-career engineer to work directly with portfolio managers, quants, and researchers, building tools that have immediate impact on live capital.

You will own and ship user-facing systems used daily by the investment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain modern web applications for internal research, trading, and risk analytics.
  • Develop interactive dashboards for portfolio performance, exposures, signals, and execution monitoring.
  • Implement real-time visualization of market data, model outputs, and trading activity.
  • Collaborate closely with quant developers and researchers to translate analytical workflows into intuitive UIs.
  • Integrate front-end systems with Python/FastAPI backends and data services.
  • Improve usability, speed, and reliability of internal tools used under live trading conditions.
  • Contribute to shared component libraries and design standards across the platform.

Support deployment, testing, and monitoring of production web apps.
