About the Department

The City of Marshall is currently accepting applications for temporary and seasonal positions.  A hiring list will be created to ensure we have candidates ready to be hired when we are able to fill positions.

The City of Marshall Community Services Division accepts applications on a year-round basis for a variety of spring/summer/fall/winter temporary and seasonal positions. Some of these positions offer intermittent and/or part-time hours, and some offer up to 40 hours per week on a seasonal basis.
Applications will remain on file for one-year from receipt.  You must reapply to be considered the following season.

Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and the number of seasons employed with the City.
  After School Program Helper ($11.50 - 14.50 per hour)
  After School Program Instructor ($14.00 - 20.00 per hour)
  Media Production Assistant ($11.50 - 17.50 per hour)
  Band Director ($900 - $1,500 per season)
  Community Education Instructor (percentage pay based upon participant fees)
  Community Education Helper ($11.50 - 14.50 per hour)
  Event Staff ($12.00 - 18.00 per hour)
  MAC Assistant Manager ($15.00 - 21.00 per hour)
  MAC Attendant ($11.50 - 13.00 per hour)
  MAC Lifeguard ($12.50 - 14.00 per hour)
  MAC Lifeguard with WSI ($13.25 - 14.75 per hour)
  MAC Manager ($16.00 - 22.00 per hour)
  Office Assistant ($14.00 - 19.50 per hour)
  Open Skate Supervisor ($12.00 - 13.50 per hour)  
  Open Gym Supervisor ($12.00 - 13.50 per hour)
  Park Maintenance Worker ($13.00 - 16.00 per hour)
  Recreation Program Assistant ($12.00 - 18.00 per hour)
  Recreation Program Coordinator ($12.00 - 18.00 per hour)
  Recreation Program Instructor (percentage pay based upon participant fees)
  Recreation Program Helper ($11.50 - 14.50 per hour)
  Scorekeeper ($11.50 - 13.00 per hour)
  Theatre Director ($900 - $1,500 per season)
  7th and 8th Grade Baseball Coach ($1,000 - 1,800 per season)
  7th and 8th Grade Softball Coach ($1,000 - 1,800 per season)
  7th and 8th Grade Tackle Football Coach ($1,000 - 1,800 per season)
