Job Description

Title: Law Enforcement Contracts Rep
Location: Clayton, MO
Salary: $71,000 - $80,000 
Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday

 Focus: This role will consist of representing Winchester in coordinating, planning, and preparing bids, proposals, and maintenance of law enforcement contracts to achieve law enforcement ammunition trade channel sales goals and objectives.

Law Enforcement Contracts Rep Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain superior turnaround time on bid/pricing requests, analysis, and data collection to support law enforcement contract solicitations.
  • Administer complex law enforcement requests for proposals/solicitations to provide Winchester management with the necessary information to make sound business decisions, whether direct or through distribution.
  • Liaison, communication, and management of requests for proposals/bid requirements for other functional Winchester units
  • Prepare or submit documentation and reporting in compliance with contractual requirements under the area of responsibility in U.S/Canadian Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement or as directed.
  • Represent Winchester at key meetings, trade shows, and law enforcement events.
  • Provide Law Enforcement (LE) department support in handling customer and agency phone calls, maintaining/managing LE programs/agreements, trade organization meetings, and maintaining all department records.
  • Analyze established processes and related business activity to ensure compliance with U.S. Government laws and regulations and in compliance with Olin’s procedures and policies.
  • Participate in internal operations and/or product management meetings to represent the law enforcement trade channel/unit.
  • Monitor daily and report on U.S./Canada request for proposal (RFP) tracking databases for new opportunities. 
  • Support Law Enforcement Representatives with daily tracking, reporting, and/or monthly allocation planning, as needed.


Law Enforcement Contracts Rep Minimum Requirements:

  • Must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree*; Business Administration or technical area preferred.  Minimum two years of related work experience; OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent with five years of related work experience.
  • Law Enforcement Sales or Contract experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; SAP preferred.
  • Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload, shift demands, work independently, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.


Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
