Job Description

Our Healthcare M&A team is seeking an experienced Associate to join our New York office. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior professionals on valuations, financial analyses, due diligence, and the execution of M&A transactions. The Associate will gain meaningful exposure to both sell-side and buy-side advisory assignments across public/private companies within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing client presentations, drafting offering memoranda, preparing internal committee memoranda, preparing management and board presentations and other materials for senior bankers as required
  • Transaction execution involving direct client interaction and communication
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute M&A transactions
  • Conducting extensive financial modeling and valuation
  • Support new business and marketing initiatives as appropriate
  • Assessing industry research and trends
  • Training and mentoring Analysts on the team

Qualifications:

  • Experience in M&A investment banking, preferably Healthcare focused
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills essential
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
  • High degree of maturity, integrity, demonstrated leadership skills and work ethic
  • Organized and proactive
  • Dealogic, CapIQ, Bloomberg and MS Office suite knowledge strongly preferred
  • SIE, Series 63, 79 FINRA registrations required at the time of hiring or shortly thereafter

Compensation:

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
