We are hiring for a Cook/Dietary Aide to join our team.  This position is responsible for the preparation of meals for the residents alongside the Dietary Director.  Able to perform all duties in a sanitary manner to provide the highest quality meals daily.  

Requirements

Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.  

Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual. 

Must be fair, honest, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.

Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.  

Must meet all health requirements.

Must pass criminal background check.

Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions) with or without reasonable accommodations. 

Summary

Wash and put away all dishes and utensils appropriately 

Ensure dish area is kept clean and trash disposed of at the end of every shift

Adhere to schedule, if changes need to be made to inform a manager at least a week in advance.

Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workstation always

Complete any other tasks assigned to you by your manager.

Ensure suitable meals are served to the appropriate Residents.

Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.

Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner.

Residents' rights

Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights.
