Job Description

The Mechanic will preform electrical/mechanical corrective and preventative maintenance on liquid filing (bottle finning) equipment, manufacturing equipment, and systems which include wiring, power distribution, servo and stepper controls, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

  • Work with Production Manager and other Mechanics to maximize efficiency of production lines.
  • Perform set ups, breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance, and improvements on machines.
  • Ensure that instructions provided in the Work Orders are being followed (i.e. correct codes, box counts, palletizing instructions) by periodically monitoring each line.
  • Sign off job start-ups to run while ensuring setups are accurately matching the proper components with the work order.
  • Document major repairs or adjustments in Maintenance log book.
  • Review production paperwork for accuracy.
  • Ensure for set up that the proper components are supplied to the production lines and staged for the next shift/job.
  • Ensures for breakdowns that components from a prior job are removed from the production floor.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Communicate with supervisors, operators, and other mechanics.
  • Create legible written records.
  • Verify product produced and labeled accurately.
  • Follow applicable OSHA safety regulations etc.
  • Understand FDA regulations to the operations and consequences of nonconformance.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work environment.
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Experience filling liquids into bottles a plus.
  • Electrical: 24V to 480V, single phase and three phase
  • Two or more years troubleshooting and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment, or military equivalent.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints: electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
  • Familiarity with contract or third-party manufacturing experience beneficial.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making capabilities are mandatory.
  • Requires strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
