Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.


Job Summary

 

St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church is seeking a qualified Part-Time Musician to provide musical support for liturgical services and parish celebrations while upholding the mission and values of the Catholic Church.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide musical accompaniment for weekend Masses, holy days, and special parish liturgies
  • Collaborate with clergy, cantors, choirs, and liturgy planners to support worship services
  • Prepare and rehearse assigned music to ensure high-quality liturgical presentation
  • Follow parish and Archdiocesan guidelines for sacred music and liturgy
  • Support congregational singing and enhance the worship experience

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and/or vocal performance
  • Ability to read music and follow liturgical music selections
  • Previous experience in church or liturgical music preferred
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work collaboratively
  • Respect for and commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church

 

Employment Status:

Hourly, part-time position
