Description

Metro Water is seeking a seasonal, part-time Intern to support our IT Department over the summer. Pay starts at a minimum of $18.00 per hour depending on experience. This is a temporary position on a seasonal basis of up to 25 hours per week. Work hours are flexible within Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.


The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and a good communicator. The Intern will assist IT staff with various computer and administrative related tasks. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in IT work as you’ll gain hands-on experience with a variety of computer technologies. Candidates must be enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related program at a college or university.


Responsibilities:

· Assist with in-field equipment installations

· Prepare Knowledge Base articles

· Inventory laptops and software

· Organize storerooms

· Migrate employees from Chromebooks to Windows laptops


Available Projects:

· Conduct a Linux workstation feasibility study

· Setup an on-premise AI with access to various data sources

· Configure Windows file/folder audit reports
