Corporation Office Additional Information: Show/Hide - Oversees the general neatness and attractiveness of the bus fleet.
- Participates in inservice training programs, as assigned.
- Assist with other various duties which are essential in the routine operation of the bus fleet, which are assigned.
- Performs routine cleaning of various buses/vans as needed.
- Assists drivers in resolving routing conflicts.
- Assists with solving discipline problems occurring on school buses.
- Assists with parental / student complaints and special requests.
- Assists with monitoring road hazards for decision on school closing during inclement weather.
- Attends appropriate committee and staff meetings.
- Assists administration in relaying various messages to students and drivers.
- Performs minor repairs on buses/vans as needed.
- Assists mechanic and drivers in moving vehicles to desired locations; and, eliminating reported problems on individual vehicles.
- Routinely checks tires, batteries, lights, oil, power steering fluids, brake fluids, and transmission fluids in all vehicles.
- Annually rides and observes each school bus driver; evaluating their performance and safety practices.
- Report any and all injuries to the immediate supervisor, filling out the appropriate forms.
- Report any and all hazardous situations/areas which are considered to be unsafe to the immediate supervisor, filling out necessary forms.
- Conform to all rules and regulations of the school and comply with all federal, state, and local laws relating directly or indirectly to the employee’s duties.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent may assign from time to time.

TITLE: Transportation Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Hold at least a High School diploma or its equivalency.
2. Ability to work with students, parents, and the community.
3. Mechanic ability; being capable of performing minor repairs.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
SUPERVISES: Regular bus fleet; as well as extra-curricular fleet
JOB GOAL: To provide a well-organized smoothly functioning busing of all students both on regularly scheduled routes and extra-curricular routes.
