Job Description
Overview Salary Range: $68,000 - $85,000 Annually The Admixture Technician will be responsible for expanding the Oz-set program to all plants in IL, IN and WI. This position is responsible for upgrades to dispensing equipment, increasing storage, installing tank monitors, and coordinating DOT calibrations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Manage product/parts inventory: Source and order new dispenser parts and tanks, order rail cars and coordinate placement, report monthly inventory Product conversion: Replace tank fittings, relabel tanks, fill manifolds, batch panel Repair, recalibrate and standardize dispenser system Manage Vega systems: install, repair and maintain tank monitors Improve storage capability to improve deliveries Calibrations for Oz-Set and CaCl2 Systems Load plan Oz-Set deliveries- Asist Gasaway with short loads Expand Oz-Set sales to outside customers Global Responsibilities: Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs Qualifications: Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience: Minimum two years in Redi-mix industry Skills/Abilities: Proficient in electrical, plumbing and pneumatics. Working knowledge of Alkon batching systems Organized Self -Motivated Problem solver Working Conditions: Fast paced environment with a need to respond to ever changing scenarios Exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, heavy construction equipment, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions Noise level is usually moderate, but can be high and requires personal hearing protection on occasion at job sites, plants, and laboratories Job requires working outdoors year-round in heavy industrial environment Physical Requirements: Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Ability to lift 75 lbs.
