Job Description

WAGE RANGE: $14.05-$18.00

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing efficient, personable service for banquets booked at WRC, including set-up, attractive food display and proper food handling maintenance, beverage service, and providing attentive service to guests’ dining needs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service, placing the customers' service needs first.
  2. Responsible for proper food handling, ensuring that food is stored and maintained at appropriate temperature.
  3. Assists Banquet Captain with banquet set-up as outlined in the guest contract, including table settings, seating, theming, etc., to include setting up tables and chairs.
  4. Performs routine set-up, including setting tablecloths, linens, silverware, glassware, place settings, dinnerware, etc., according to service standards.
  5. After the event, promptly assists with take down and clean up.
  6. Throughout banquet service, maintains a neat, clean, and organized flow at assigned station.
  7. Accepts payment for beverages, accurately processing in the POS system.
  8. Keeps Supervisor apprised of operational concerns including recipes, inventory, and supply needs.
  9. Makes sure all storerooms are clean, organized, and secured.
  10. Reports any health standards or safety needs immediately to Supervisor
  11. Promotes internal guest service standards with courteous and respectful behavior with co-workers. Maintains a cooperative, positive attitude with an emphasis on teamwork.
  12. Complies with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

  2. Food & Beverage storage area.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Six (6) months of customer service experience.
  2. Demonstrates interpersonal skills and abilities that promote positive guest service.
  3. Effective communication - good auditory acuity, able to respond to questions and provide information.
  4. Need to stand or walk for long periods; performs routine bending and lifting of product up to 20 lbs.; performs repetitive motions of arms, hands, wrists, and fingers; stretch, lift, and maneuver furniture and equipment up to 50 lbs.; works in a varied hot, cold, and noisy environment.
  5. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  6. Possesses an energetic, motivated personality.
  7. Must be able to work in a team environment.
  8. Flexible schedule must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  9. Possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment, with permit application submitted by first day of employment.
  10. Requires a High-Security Gaming license clearance.
  11. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Previous banquet server, catering, or restaurant waiter experience.
