  Reports to:  Director of Special Education 

Job Goal:  To monitor progress, advocate for, and teach each student with a Individual Education Plan and assigned to this caseload; enabling each student to reach his or her fullest potential.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance/instruction to eligible students utilizing the Board approved curriculum with appropriate modifications and accommodations as a basis for the instruction.
• Create lesson plans and implement instructional practices that reflect accurate understanding of prerequisite relationships among topics and concepts and reflect familiarity with a wide range of effective pedagogical approaches related to the discipline.
• Attain information about levels of development for groups of students and differentiate the lesson to meet their needs.
• Display high standard of honesty, integrity and confidentiality in interaction with colleagues, students and the public.
• Demonstrate dependable attendance, punctuality and work ethic.

Technical Skills:

The individual must be proficient in computer usage, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and other school based software.
