    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic and passionate middle school Financial Literacy teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to academic excellence and student growth, bring creativity to their instruction, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

     


     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction

       
    • Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect student needs and curriculum goals

       
    • Establish a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations

       
    • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities

       
    • Assess and track student performance; provide feedback and intervention as needed

       
    • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership

       
    • Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives

       
    • Support school events, field trips, and community-building activities

       
    • Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, grading, and lesson planning

       
    • Adhere to all school, district, and network policies and procedures
    • Teach the foundational elements of financial literacy, in areas such as personal budgeting, debt management, education and retirement saving, investing, and tax planning.
    • Instruct students on various financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
    • Plan and facilitate learning experiences involving key components of financial literacy, including earning, spending, saving, investing, borrowing, and protecting.
    • Collaborate with a local higher education institution to support student understanding of financial literacy through a broad range of experiences related to finance.



     

     


     

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid New Jersey CE, CEAS, or Standard teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)

       
    • Must pass a criminal history background check

       
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field


       

     


     

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Competitive salary range: $60,000-80,000, commensurate with experience
