Job overview: The role provides expertise and advice to the business across all aspects of procurement activity and engagement whilst bringing detailed information back to the Procurement team around business strategies and objectives. Your communication and collaboration with the business helps build procurement’s reputation as a trusted, expert partner. Building deep relationships with key stakeholders to drive robust engagement plans is key to the role. Creating regular touchpoints and processes that ensure early visibility of procurement demands from the business and provide the ability for the category teams to engage early on sourcing strategy and approaches is fundamental to the success of the role. Key responsibilities: Implementing a repeatable demand planning process, with regular updates, to capture all change, business as usual (BAU) and renewal demands in the specific business unit/area for the current and upcoming financial years. Working closely with business leaders to understand their needs, challenges and strategic goals related to procurement to drive strategic collaboration with the business. Developing a stakeholder engagement plan to align business processes with procurement, ensuring mutual representation. Facilitate opportunities for the Category Teams to provide insights on market trends, new sourcing opportunities, and innovative procurement solutions tailored to the business requirements. Track and report on procurement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to update the business areas on procurement performance. Provide reporting around procurement initiatives for business awareness as well as opportunities to improve processes, delivery or compliance. Identify areas for continuous improvement. Challenge activity where necessary to ensure objective, data-driven decision making that includes external and Group best practice. Be the primary point of contact for devolved procurement in the business areas, providing guidance and reporting around process and activity. Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating requirements, expectations, and feedback to diverse audiences as well as challenging professionally where necessary. Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving to address and resolve disputes or misunderstandings effectively. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities. Skilled in developing long-term, mutually beneficial strategic relationship with key stakeholders and capable of leveraging influence to build clear and persuasive arguments to foster an outcome-based approach. Adept at fostering collaboration and trust to drive innovation, improve service delivery, and achieve organisational goals Demonstrable delivery of planning, executing and managing initiatives from initiation to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets, utilising tools and methodologies to track progress and mitigate risks. Ability to identify issues quickly and develop innovative, practical solutions aligned with business needs. Comfortable managing multiple projects and demands simultaneously while maintaining quality output and delivery as well as stakeholder satisfaction. Strategic thinking. Deep understanding of the organisation’s industry, market dynamics, and financial principles to ensure provision of relevant advice. Ability to understand business goals and develop recommendations that support long-term objective with the flexibility to respond to changing business priorities, market conditions, and organisational strategies. Analytics skills, with experience of reviewing data sets, market trends, and business performance to inform recommendations and decision-making.
