Your Tasks:


  • Lead & maintain compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, & ISO 9001 standards & corporate EHS requirements.
  • Manage environmental reporting & compliance processes: HWIN, NPRI, & other Ministry of Environment submissions.
  • Take ownership of contractor safety management, site orientations, & Pre-Start Health & Safety Reviews (PSRs).
  • Drive the execution & documentation of risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, workplace inspections, & environmental impact assessments.
  • Plan & coordinate EHS training initiatives, including development, scheduling, delivery, & training record management.
  • Support & lead elements of incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, & follow-up closure.
  • Facilitate or participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings, ISO audits, Ministry of Labour visits, & internal safety inspections.
  • Lead initiatives related to continuous improvement; employee safety engagement, & EHS culture-building.
  • Maintain & update site EHS documentation: procedures, manuals, reports, & internal communications.
  • Be an advocate for Trench Canada’s Zero Harm culture, promoting hazard awareness, behavioral safety, & accountability.

Requirements:


  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Canadian occupational health & safety regulations & environmental legislation.
  • Experience with environmental reporting systems is an asset.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to influence & support cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ownership & initiative in managing multiple priorities & seeing tasks through to completion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, & familiarity with EHS management software.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, & a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency Act, we are committed to providing clear and accessible information about compensation for this role. The expected compensation range for this position is CAD $55000 - $75000 / Annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on several job-related factors, including relevant education, depth and breadth of experience, professional certifications or license, specialized skills aligned with the role, and internal equity considerations. This role offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including paid vacation, group health benefits, pension plan, bonus, and additional employee programs.
