This position is for a group tutor for the Fall 2026 sections of ECN-111: Intro to Economics. Applicants must have previously passed ECN-111.
Duties:
The student is responsible for providing general academic tutoring services to a small group on specific subject matter or area of specialty. Student works under limited supervision, exercises a moderate level of independent judgment and initiative, and demonstrates strong understanding in the subject area. They are able to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively. Tutor will offer 4 hrs/week of drop-in tutoring sessions (typically 2, 2-hour sessions scheduled at the tutor's convenience).
Provides tutoring for one or more of the following:
Specific courses in the SS and HUM divisions
General study and learning strategies
Metacognitive skills
General administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
Participating in initial and ongoing training
Communicating with instructors about course content
Maintaining cleanliness of study lounge or classroom spaces
