Grounds Worker – Full-Time Seasonal


Steele Hill Resorts is nestled in the scenic town of Sanbornton, New Hampshire—just 15 minutes from Tilton and Belmont. Position Summary


The Grounds Worker is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and accessibility of resort grounds. This includes landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep, as well as assisting with material transport and special requests as needed. Snow removal and plowing experience is preferred.


Schedule & Compensation

  • Typical schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM 
  • Overtime guaranteed during snow events until conditions are resolved 
  • Pay is based on experience 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform landscaping duties including mowing, weed trimming, planting, mulching, and watering 
  • Maintain clean and safe grounds by removing litter, snow, and debris from walkways and parking areas 
  • Assist with minor painting and general upkeep of surrounding areas 
  • Transport materials and fulfill requests for staff and guests 
  • Operate and maintain grounds equipment safely and effectively 
  • Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulations 
  • Stay current with best practices through training and professional development 
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Grounds Department by supporting additional tasks and initiatives

Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Experience with equipment operation and basic maintenance 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude 
  • High attention to detail and thoroughness 
  • Ability to communicate important information effectively 
  • Dependable and reliable 
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
