We are seeking Per Diem Housekeepers to join our team at UMC's Crisis Stabilization Center. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff. The Housekeeper will ensure that all facilities are well-kept, contributing to the overall mission of providing high-quality care.
Job Specific Duties:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and offices to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in compliance with health regulations.
- Support the setup and breakdown of facilities for events or meetings.
Required Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, custodial or janitorial services preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment usage.\
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear, and smell continually.
- Close vision is required to see computer monitors, read documents, and operate copy and fax machines.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach frequently.
- Must be able to move quickly in emergencies, including walking briskly or running short distances.
- Ability to maintain physical and mental alertness during prolonged periods of activity in high-stress environments.
