Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- Forklift operation and maintenance certification or the ability to obtain.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of related experience.
- Valid Florida commercial driver’s license (CDL);
- Class B;
- Air brakes endorsement.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills; mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of warehousing and delivery functions.
- Knowledge of general policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications.
- Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements if applicable.

Responsibilities
- Receive stock and verify number and quality of items on purchase order and issue appropriate report.
- Identify labels and prepare stock and materials for storage or transport.
- Fill orders or issue supplies from stock; pack, check orders, and identify cartons for distribution in writing or electronically.
- Load trucks and deliver supplies to schools and departments.
- Fill work orders involving transfers of furniture and equipment from schools and departments.
- Assist in the annual physical inventory, spot inventories, and cycle counts during the year as directed.
- Operate vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily routine maintenance and cleanliness checks on vehicles used such as gasoline, oil, water, battery, tires, lights, etc.
- Report if any problems or deficiencies are noted to Transportation Services..
- Adhere to departmental and Board policies.
- Assist in organizing and setting up public auctions and direct public sale of surplus District property and equipment.
- Assist in facilitating the delivery of equipment and supplies to new or renovated facilities.
- Register with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier SafetyAdministration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse if applicable.
- Maintain driver and CDLlicensure and required endorsements and forklift certification as applicable.
