Primary Objectives of Position:



The Marketing Intern will support the cooperative’s marketing efforts by enhancing our digital and social media presence, creating engaging content, and assisting with promotional initiatives across multiple divisions. The intern will gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and brand development while showcasing the people, services, and community impact of our cooperative.



Responsibilities of the Position:




  • Develop and manage engaging content for the cooperative’s social media platforms to increase visibility and audience engagement.

  • Create short-form videos, including:

    • Location tours

    • “Day in the life” features highlighting key positions and departments



  • Collaborate with staff across departments to gather stories, photos, and video content.

  • Track and report on social media performance and engagement metrics.

  • Provide creative input on marketing strategies, advertising, and promotions.

  • Assist with other marketing-related tasks such as event promotion, graphic design, and customer communications.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Qualifications:




  • Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Agricultural Communications, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in digital marketing and storytelling.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and best practices.

  • Basic video creation and editing.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Interest in or willingness to learn about agriculture and cooperative business models.
