    Primary Purpose:
    Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to match student ability levels.

    Qualifications:
    Education:
    Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
    Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned


    Special Knowledge and Skills:
    Ability to work well with children with disabilities
    Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation
    Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and differentiate instruction for students with disabilities
    Ability to remain calm, non-reactive, consistent and positive when a student demonstrates misbehavior
    Ability to maintain confidentiality
    Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Experience:
    At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
