Peninsula Catholic High School seeks an innovative, collaborative, and experienced Full Time Math teacher (Algebra 2, Geometry, and above) for the 2026-2027 school year who has an enthusiasm for youth, skills for effective integration of technology in the classroom, and a desire to be part of a community with over a 120-year history of excellence in Catholic education.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a community of faith by applying Catholic doctrine, integrating beliefs into classroom life, and supporting students' spiritual development.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Manage classroom dynamics to foster a positive learning environment.
- Assess student performance through testing and provide individualized support as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional design and curriculum development.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote educational goals.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with teaching methodologies and advancements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree, preferred.
- Experience with digital and online platforms such as WebAssign, IXL, and Kuta preferred.
- The successful candidate must have a current VDOE teacher license with endorsements in the assigned subject areas
