JOB SUMMARY

Note: This position works out of Pleasant Grove and Springville primarily.

Efficiently maintain the building and grounds of the storage property. The position may be assigned to one or multiple properties. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, buildings and other facilities. Assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, including building lighting systems, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. Responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas. This role is critical to maintaining access and safety during winter weather conditions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the main duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Able to effectively work as a team and maintain a positive environment
  • all times Uphold high levels of customer service standards
  • Ensuring curb appeal meets and exceeds- Maintain grounds and exterior property on a daily basis
  • Ensure maintenance shop and storage areas are clean order
  • Repairing roll-up doors
  • Make sure property, office, and bathroom is clean and organized -
  • Make sure units are clean and ready to rent
  • Perform lock checks, walk the property
  • Performs routine maintenance on building interior
  • Makes necessary building repairs
  • Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for outside the scope of routine maintenance.
  • Utilize facility log book and make notes as necessary
  • Inventory and track facility owned tools
  • Operate snow plows, salt spreaders, and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.

    Clear snow and ice from assigned areas, including roadways, driveways, parking lots, and walkways.

    Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly when snow or ice removal services are required.

    Apply salt, sand, or de-icing materials as needed to ensure safe surfaces.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to operate hand tools.
  • Valid Driver�s license required with access to reliable transportation..
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Prior experience with maintenance
  • Maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
  • Arranges for and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed.
  • Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme

conditions at facilities. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods and be able to move about freely, stoop/bend, and walk; frequent
  • Reaching/pulling/pushing and repetitive motions.
  • Work in all outdoor conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Previous experience operating snow plows or heavy machinery preferred.
