The Service Coordinator is responsible for providing support to current customers through clear communication and high-level problem solving and troubleshooting for industrial machinery and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to incoming calls from customers and service technicians for electrical and/or mechanical service issues (includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Assist with the scheduling of upcoming machinery installations and service calls.
- Travel, on occasion, to assist with evaluation and installation of machinery and/or troubleshoot problems in the field.
- Partner with Engineering Department to create cohesive solutions for various customer issues.
- Assist the Parts Department with technical issues as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical disciplines, machinery troubleshooting, and installation best practices.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other written instructions or procedures.
- Strong understanding of PLC based machinery controls and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Technical knowledge of corrugated parts and equipment preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
- Proficient in the use of various computer applications, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
